Wingate by Wyndham Dublin Near Claytor Lake State Park

Property is under renovation and the carpet was really dirty. The rooms were okay. They advertise with breakfast included but it was closed due to renovation.

Carpet was pulled up. Black mold in bathroom. Definitely need update. Beds were horrible.

There was a major renovation project in the lobby. As a guest, I had to move around the workers. I would hope that once the renos are over, the this will be a wonderful place to visit. Just not now

This place needs to be renovation in a major way. The carpet is very dirty & stained. Wall paper peeling in the bathroom.

The whole place smells musty. There was mold on the walls in the bathroom. The toilet leaked on the floor from the base. There was old food left in the refrigerator that was never cleaned before our stay. For 2 nights at $375, it was hugely disappointing. I've stayed in $99 a night places that were head and shoulders above this place. Almost asked for my money back but felt like that would be punishing employees for poor management. Anyhow, don't bother with this place.

All of the above. Terrible service. Had to walk up to the 3rd floor with luggage. We’re both in our 70’s. No offer to help us. Bed linen had human hairs from someone’s head. After we complained about the bathroom & bed linens, two housekeepers corrected these. They were the most helpful even though we had a language barrier. The place seemed to be operating with a minimal staff. Didn’t have a choice but to stay. We do not drive at night, so basically we were stuck there.

I want to stress that most of the staff was very nice and helpful. The facility itself though, very shabby. It's obvious this is not a true Wingate, but they've bought out a really run down Sleep Inn to renovate and just haven't gotten around to it. The elevator was inoperable, the stair wells and hall windows were infested with stink bugs and lady bugs, the carpets in the halls and rooms were stained and/or torn. The rooms smelled musty/moldy - even though they were very clean. The overall aesthetic was hole in the wall, run down hotel that rents by the month.

Wingate Wyndham at Claytor lake VA was a challenge with a broken elevator and a brother who uses a walker And being on the 3rd floor The entire hotel is quite run down which I can deal with but no elevater no hand rails in the shower I’m wondering about the American disability act

Unfriendly and curt reception, elevator out of order had to climb three story carrying heavy bags, no apology by the reception,
