德比小屋(Derby Lodge)

The Derby lodge is like an oasis, where nothing is too much trouble, it has clean and well-appointed rooms and the Lodge is safe and secure, NEAPS Bistro is a taste sensation with great range of meals whether it was breakfast or dinner, and the staff were fabulous. The new manager, she is exceptional, with an eye for detail and was helpful, courteous and always willing to help. (I applogise as do not remember name and she introduced herself to me!!)

Accommodation was 2.5 kms out of town in remote area which was scary given at the time crime levels were reported to be alarming in Derby. This "fly in fly out" accommodation was not suitable for high rate paying tourists. The place was filthy with brown stains in toilet, old cobwebs that were full of dust so hadn.t been cleaned for years, chipped dining tables, broken towel rails, covers off heating element and cracked tiles in bathroom etc. This poor cleaning was in the face of high Covid case numbers in Derby We froze during the night as there were no blankets supplied and nothing in cupboards. Reception was not manned when we returned from remote accommodation at 6.15 pm to eat or in the morning when we checked out at 8.15 am. I immediately complained next morning via email to our booking agent BKB Holidays for a refund. Both travel agent and motel owner took no ownership for our disgusting accommodation and refused to offer a refund.. I would never use either of these entities to book a holiday again.

Derby Lodge is where we always choose to stay in Derby. The rooms are big,, tidy and comfortable. It is secure, the staff are always helpful and the restaurant is great. Our company stays a couple of times a month and we won't stay anywhere else.

Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and great location. Well set out room that was clean and tidy upon arrival. Security was good and ability to park my vehicle directly outside the room was a bonus

Very safe accommodation at Derby Lodge. Derby is a quirky place you need to visit, especially the Norval Art Gallery! Very comfortable room, shower and bed. We enjoyed an excellent meal in Neaps Bistro at the lodge where French Tomi looked after us very well.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The accomodation is very good and quite new. BUT, our first impressions were terrible as, despite receiving a text with details of how to access the property and our room, there were no keys in the safe and no-one would answer our phone calls to the phone number listed on the reception door. After an hour, someone finally came and gave us our keys without much of an apology. Not impressed. However, our room was very nice and the staff and food at the on-site restaurant were very good. This is definitely the best accommodation in Derby as we have stayed at other places here.

We had two nights in a self contained apartment. There was a kitchenette in the room with basic equipment. The bed was very comfy The room was a good size and while there was a table and chair outside the ground floor room, it was in the sun most of the time , so it was much cooler in the room. The gates locked after entering and leaving the grounds. The free laundry was a bonus. Would stay again if I. The area.

We found our room to be very comfortable and exceptionally clean. By far the cleanest that I have ever staying in. The bed was very comfortable, and the cooking facilities in the room were adequate for our needs. The property had security cameras all around, and the car park is security gated. We felt very safe while staying there. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant served big meals for a decent price, and was very clean and comfortable. The service was fantastic! We will definitely be staying there again!

Disgusting filthy and infested with ants and cockroaches. Dirty rooms with lots of broken things including air con. Do yourself a favour and pitch a tent. Floors covered in dirt, months if not years of dirt built up on surfaces and generally just a mess. Positives - has a kettle, toaster, tv and microwave.
