鹿湖汽車旅館(Deer Lake Motel)

We stayed at the Deer Lake Motel for a provincial hockey tournament and it was amazing. When we first booked it was because the Holiday Inn was completely booked and most of us were upset to not have a pool and waterslide. We will not stay elsewhere on hockey trip from now on. The staff are amazing. Always polite and accommodating, even when our kids were being loud. They gave us a room for mini sticks and parent drinks and as long as the noise was reasonable they were happy. The buffet breakfast is great,much better than the holiday Inn, and again, the staff were simply amazing. Even the location is better. The Big Stop, Tim's, and Dairy Queen are within walking distance. Everyone on the team agreed that we were lucky to have stayed there. I highly recommend them.

At the crossing of the Transcanadian road and the 430, this motel is a practical stop, Deer Lake itself being mainly a town of services. The welcoming was professional, the room was standard with a good bed, tv, bathroom with usual toiletries and towels, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, air conditioning. Everything was clean. T.V and wi-fi worked great. Since our room was at the back, we did not hear any noise. Plenty of free parking out front. The included breakfast (bacon, eggs, hashbrown toast) was served at the restaurant starting at 7 a.m by a cheerful waitress. It was plentiful and well-prepared. The motel immediate neighbors consisted of a gas station, a small liquor store, the tourist office and a couple of fast food places. Within 2 km, you had a grocery store and a nice sandy beach on a beautiful lake! So Deer Lake is definitely a good place to stop for the traveler.

Decided try the deer lake hotel enroute back to Ottawa. Ordered steak done blue and fries but added mushrooms and onions. Steak was perfect and homemade Fries and gravy to die for. Price for mushrooms and onions for what ya got was not great but nothing to drop my review by a star - Service from the staff 7pm March 16 was Fantastic.

Clean rooms, welcoming staff, restaurant onsite. Outdoor room entrances with drive up parking space is great for loading your vehicle - not dragging luggage through the foyer is so convenient. Full, hot breakfast included was excellent!

We stayed at the Deer Lake Motel for 2 nights during our NL trip and it was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable, and staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was very accomodating when we arrived before the earliest check-in and moved us into an available room so we could drop off our bags. The food at the restaurant was delicious - I really enjoyed the turkey vegetable soup I had one day for lunch and their pan-fried cod was wonderful. The hotel offers a free breakfast for guests staying in their hotel - scrambled eggs, toast, homefries, and choice of sausages or fried ham. I think you can order a different breakfast if you don't want the free one (that would have a cost), but we always took the free one. Motel is conveniently located just off the Trans-Canada, which makes it very easy to get on the road to explore. There is no elevator in the motel, so if you have any issues with mobility, you may wish to request a ground-floor room.

Stayed here after our evening arrival. The room was affordable, clean and comfortable. The breakfast included with our stay was very good. Parking was convenient and the hotel is across the road from a gas station and tourism office. I would stay here again.

This was an unexpectedly nice place. The room was big and very clean and up to date. The bathroom was nice and also very clean. We were able to park in front of our room which was nice on the cold and rainy night we stayed there. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant. I took a chance on ordering the special which was ribs. WOW. They were fantastic, fall off the bone tender and tasty. Breakfast was included and it was fine except... the scrambled eggs were clearly powdered eggs. Yuck. The rest of the breakfast was tasty though. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here.

The front staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very dark. The beds were comfortable but had a terrible squeak to them if you moved. The free breakfast was horrible. The scrambled eggs tasted like they had been sitting around for an hour and they were cold. Toast was the only edible item on the plate.

We recently flew to Deer Lake for a quick vacation. We stayed at a resort near Corner Brook. We decided to leave there a day early because we wanted to see Rocky Harbor etc. We had stayed at Deer Lake Motel a number of years ago and it was nice and luckily, they had a room. Check in was easy the lady checking us in was so friendly. Our room was on the second floor facing the back of the motel and it was perfect. Very quiet as well. The room as well as the whole motel is spotless. Everything is modern and up to date. We ate dinner at the restaurant there and it was very good. Amazing staff, beyond clean and a great place to rest for the night.
