OJO: NOS ROBARON. Durante nuestra estancia, una persona de nombre Marisol, que hace la limpieza en el lugar, nos esculco las maletas y nos robo un anillo. Thomas que es el dueño o host de este lugar, siempre dice estar de vacaciones, pero en realidad creo que nunca esta presente. Cuando informamos que nos habian esculcado, Iván el bartender y al día siguiente Oscar, el encargado en la mañana, fueron muy atentos, sin embargo nunca pudimos resolver nada. No nos mostraron cámaras, no nos dijeron nada al respecto, y no se resolvio el problema. El lugar esta bien y es bueno, pero ese suceso nos arruino todo. Aunque parezca inverosimil, el dueño del lugar, Thomas, nos contacto hasta que habiamos salido, para decirnos que era nuestra culpa, por no guardar en la caja fuerte el anillo (la caja fuerte no servia y no esta anclada a ningún mueble). Luego nos dijo que no teniamos evidencia del robo, porque necesitariamos un video de Marisol robandose el anillo para poder reclamar algo, y ahora nos escribe una reseña hablando pestes de nosotros porque subimos una reseña. La verdad es super lamentable el dueño y esa empleada. Si van al lugar solo consideren ese detalle, para que eviten la limpieza en el cuarto y bloqueen la puerta o lleven una cámara para grabar adentro de la habitación mientras no esten, porque no vaya a ser que les roben y posteriormente les acuse de fraude. Eres lamentable Thomas, en verdad.

El Flamingo es un hotel pequeño situado en el centro de Cozumel, a unas cuadras del puerto. No tiene mucha habitaciones, lo que lo hace un hotel tranquilo. Las instalaciones son bonitas, recién remodeladas, y están muy limpias. Los desayunos fueron buenos y el personal es atento y amable.

En general el hotel esta bastante bien, me gusto porque es muy céntrico, el único detalle que encontré es que el wifi es inestable y en el baño cada vez que te duchas se moja todo el baño, eso fue incomodo.

The hotel itself was fine, clean, recently updated, and a great location. The staff was all very friendly and helpful especially Ivan. Unfortunately that all changed on our last night of 3. The power went out around 2:30 am, and at 7 am it was still out. There was a loud alarm beeping all night and it was unbearably hot. The water also didn’t properly work, so no way to flush the toilet. We asked to check out around 8 am, since my partner needed to work and use the WiFi. When my partner returned after using the bathroom at a local coffee shop a gentleman had recently arrived who represented the hotel. He asked if we wanted to check out and she informed him that we had no power, it is very hot without A/C and that she had to work today so really needed WiFi. He barked back that it wasn’t his fault and wondered why we were checking out. I came down to talk to him and he was as rude as could be. I told him that I feel we should at least get a partial refund for an unusable hotel room. Well then he really lost it, and said no, it wasn’t his fault and that we were inconveniencing him by checking out early. Things then escalated as I didn’t understand why he was so upset with us and kept saying that it wasn’t his fault. While I understand the power going out was not his fault but maybe being a little more hospitable and acknowledging the inconvenience, or maybe trying to rectify the situation in some way would have been better than him being so rude. Needless to say he told us we were no longer welcome at the hotel and needed to leave immediately or he was calling the police. We packed up our stuff and hightailed it out of there as fast as we could.

Our flight home was cancelled so we had to find a place to stay in an emergency. So lucky we stumbled on this place. The property is in the middle of a major upgrade. The room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. Super nice bathroom and decor and everything from the lobby to the room looked brand new and recently updated. The top level with the pool was a little run down and needs some work, but you could tell that they were slowly working on that and I would guess that in a year, that will be much nicer. I understood plans for a roof-top bar are in the works! Great location. Friendly staff. Super safe and a bargain. Lots of dining and shopping all around - a half block from the ocean. We normally do large, all-inclusive resorts, but would consider staying here again in the future. Cute little bar in the main level with lots of locals hanging out in the evening.

Excelentes instalaciones, habitaciones y áreas comunes impecables, servicio de lo mejor, personal que atiende son súper amables. Un gran hotel, sin duda volveré.

WOW, Este lugar es genial! (WOW, This place is great). The hotel vibe is so relaxing beautiful and clean. Staff was superb and friendly, even the other guest staying were super nice. This penthouse 😍! Spacious, clean, the decor "chef kisses"! Beds better than my own, slept like a baby! Definitely used the cabana outside the bedroom doors, so comfy. My one and only thing that I feel needs attention is the mild on bathroom ceiling. Because we don't spend much time in there, it didn't bother us much but definitely a concern. YES we'd come and stay again hands down!
