康羅湖/休斯頓瑪格里塔維爾湖畔度假村(Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe)

It was a family friendly activities and much of the staff were nice. I had an issue at check in, my room’t cleaned well I had to ask twice to get my room cleaned after checking in. Even after, it wasn’t cleaned well but I had a cranky toddler and didn’t want to keep waiting. They only provide two bath towels and don’t replace them unless you ask. If you want more towels you have to ask. The ice machines are only on odd floors only and are out of order on many floors. The bathroom in the main lobby doesn’t have changing tables or a family bathroom so be prepared to go to your room to change diapers if you are in the main hotel.

Parking is pretty far from property. You will spend hours waiting to get to your room because the elevators are always packed and you are stacked like sardines inside them just to get to and fro. The lake was nasty and trashy unkept and there are alligators and snakes so be careful. The pools are over crowded. Not enough shade. They shut the bar down at 7pm. We didn’t have showers the main day we stayed. No running hot water. The place smelled like Sewage especially down by the pool areas. It took nearly 6 hours to get housekeeping to bring fresh towels. It’s pretty expensive to eat and there are only two restaurants available to eat at during the week. The beds feel like cement prison accommodations. Just not worth the money they are asking for this resort. Wasn’t offered any concessions or compensation. Staff is unprofessional as they constantly were arguing and fighting with each other. Guest do notice this. Our balcony railing was not secured all the way. Toilet seat in bathroom was not secure and kept falling off.

I am completely UNHAPPY with our stay here. We have spent $4000 at this place to be locked out of our room on 2 SEPARATE days because all 5 of our keys magically stop working. Not to mention no one ever answers the phone in the lobby, which is even more aggravating as we are at the VERY LAST CABIN possible. Cabin 32. I booked way in advance requesting cabin 1. This has been more of a stress than a vacation! NIGHTMARE.

Went there for a convention you would think they would be prepared. Worst service ever and I used to like margaritaville.
