Like many of these reviewers, we had not been to the Millstream for many years and remembered it as being rather pedestrian and old fashioned. As we had to be in Bosham for one night we were a bit reluctant to book here, but we are very pleased that we did. We arrived fairly late after a taxing day and were welcomed warmly, were very pleased with our attractive and comfortable room, delighted with the swift arrival of our club sandwiches and wine and grateful for an excellent night’s sleep. The bathroom is so well thought out with great attention to detail, including the pressure pad at the threshold that switches on a dim but good light when all is dark. Daylight revealed the pretty garden in all its spring glory, and breakfast was most enjoyable, with friendly and efficient service. Special mention of the juicy kipper! Full marks.

We have just returned home after a nights stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we entered we were made to feel right at home by the friendly reception staff. Complimentary drinks served in the cosy lounge area and a quick and easy checkin. Within minutes we were in our room. We could not have wanted for more. A fridge full of goodies to eat and drink. A coffee maker and pods for that early shot of caffeine. The bathroom was very well equipped with a good selection of Molton Brown toiletries. Slippers and dressing gowns added to that sense of luxury. We had a lovely view into the rear garden area which looked very well tended. The weather was poor so we stayed indoors in the warm. We had pre booked dinner in the main restaurant and were tended by were efficient and pleasant staff. All very helpful and friendly. The food was served very quickly and was beautifully presented. Again we had complimentary drinks prior to our meal (included in our offer) Coffee was served in the lounge, which was peaceful and very comfortable after our gorgeous meal. Would we go again? Yes, in the blink of an eye. Cannot find fault with anything. Wonderful location, wonderful staff and wonderful food! We will return when the weather is kinder and the daylight hours longer. Just so we can enjoy what the outdoors has to offer.

The Millstream Hotel feels very much like Bosham itself to us - friendly, relaxing and always a nice place to be. Lovely staff, great location, a comfortable room and - best of all - really great food. The dinners served in the restaurant are excellent - great quality and choice. The hotel offers very good value for money - especially off season when the village is really at its best. We really love it here.

The suite we stayed in was spacious with its own sitting room and fridge and a lovely selection of treats like juice chocolates and nuts.The views of the garden felt like a country Manor and huge bed and peace and quiet meant we slept well at night .The meals were very special served in a pretty restaurant with gentle background music and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We spent time in the hotel longue enjoying the comfortable arm chairs and sofas. Bosham is a very beautiful place and the hotel location made it easy to go for walking around Chichester Harbour. It is excellent value for money with all the extras like dressing gowns slippers and quality toiletries in the room. Will definitely stay there again.

I’ve just had a lovely Christmas at the Millstream. Very comfortable, wonderful staff, excellent food, very nice friendly fellow guests. I really enjoyed myself and I’m planning to go there in 2024. My only negative was the fact that my room had a bath with a shower over it, not a walk-in shower, which I find difficult to use as I’m disabled.

The place smelt of mustiness and not very clean - we didn’t want to eat there. Really disappointing for all of the family as it seemed as though the management had lost touch with the wider clientele. Needs a really good makeover as the setting deserves much better

We have always loved this hotel, but when we walked in this weekend, the aroma was very reminiscent of a nursing home, which was off putting. It never used to be that way. Bosham now has such a diverse community of all ages, who appreciate quality and ambience, but I’m not sure this hotel is catering for that? The staff remain professional and friendly. It was good to see the Ladies washroom had been updated. A great improvement, it’s lovely.

Excellent hotel The experience from checking in to leaving was superb and led to a much needed relaxing break. Our room was clean with pleasing decor. I can highly recommend the restaurants having tried both over our stay. Will definitely be returning. Thanks.

First visited this hotel restaurant many years with my now wife on our first date. Have been meaning to return but never got around to it. However, we were in the area between Christmas and New Year so thought it a great idea to return to the restaurant and to stay over for the night. We had a lovely time, the food was very good in the restaurant both dinner and breakfast, accommodation was okay, we had one of the two cottages in the grounds, was very cosy and warm, quite dated in it's decor but set in the pretty grounds that in the spring and summer months would be beautiful. All the staff in the hotel and the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating and our 'trip down memory lane' was most enjoyable.
