麗思卡爾頓酒店，芝加哥(The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago)

Terrible experience. I have stayed at many Ritz Carleton properties. This Chicago location was very disappointing. The staff are rude, aloof and disorganized. Upon arrival the door man doesn’t even open the front door. Restaurant staff are rude and take forever to serve you. Upon check out I didn’t even get asked how my stay was. In addition, the cleaning staff knocks on your door way prior to check out demanding when we are leaving. The spa is a disaster. I had booked services for myself and my mom and when we arrive they are telling us someone cancelled our reservation. After 20 mins of back and forth finally I said we are leaving then she says “oh I was mistaken.” I found your services. What kind of Ritz Carlton is this? They could learn a lot from the Ritz Carlton in Toronto. This would never have taken place in Toronto.

When I stay at a five-star hotel, I want to feel like I’m staying at a five-star hotel. Rooms are clean and beautiful. Everyone was so nice but there were definitely annoyances with service. 1. They brought us a cheese and sausage platter when noone in the room so by the time we got back from shopping it was warm. We had to call the front desk and they needed to perform an investigation before we could be sent a new one 2. I needed a fridge for my breastmilk and pump. I had to call two times because after four hours the refrigerator never came 3. Although there is a thermostat you can control in the room, you actually really can’t control it. It is motion detected so if you’re not in the room or if you are in the bathroom, you’re watching TV or sleeping it’s going to default to 68. I expect more from a 5 star hotel. If they can charge you like a five star hotel… 550$/ night, 19% room service fee, 7.50$ delivery fee they should accommodate you.

The property is nice but not outstanding. Overall, the decor is a bit dated and the service is just OK. For example, the check in took longer than expected, the breakfast service was a bit slow, etc. more specifically, one evening we asked the front desk to make arrangements with the concierge for some activities the following day. To our surprise, according to the concierge (Melissa I think) she indicated that she had received no messages from the front desk from the previous evening - very disconcerting…

Too long wait for check in and check out but the hotel is lovely and great area

Wonderful location and the staff brings a level of customer service that is unparalleled. View from my room was amazing.

It isn’t fun to forget your Amex when checking into this property. I’m my case, I lost my wallet. After showing my passport and explaining the situation, I ended up walking around until morning. Thanks Guys!

Food poisoning and filthy room. When confronted, no acknowledgement, just a try again!

not a 5 star hotel customer service, I was really hungry went to the restaurant and server took our drink orders and did not come back. I had to stand up and look for help to pay and was not able to order any food.
