聖多納託 - 博洛尼亞中心酒店(Hotel San Donato - Bologna Centro)

Great location with great staff. The bell tolls every so often, but it is no bother. Shower is a tad bit tiny but bathroom is big. Lift is available but some rooms on level 2 has a few steps to conquer - do request a room that does not tackle this if you cannot lift your luggage for these few steps. One key per room, but key can be left at reception. We had 4 rooms all up and they mananged to get us all on same floor & close by, as per our request. Again, all the staff are great. Check-in is 3pm, check-out is 11am.

The hotel is in. Great location perfect to walk around and there is a good few bars near by. The hotel is a bit dated but it was good service overall and comfortable to sleep.

Fantastic location, in the very heart of the city. The room is tiny but clean, the balcony has a splendid view on the old town. The bed of the single bedroom is very small: it was good enough for me, but it might not be enough for a bigger person.

We stayed a Friday and Saturday night, costing over €800 for two nights. They couldn’t pick us up from the airport and offered two taxi companies who wouldn’t make a booking until we had landed. There was no room service (“we do change the sheets” which was good to know, but no other service in your room). To have a glass of wine in your room, you have to go to a local cafe to pick up a bottle. The shower was the size of a postage stamp. If I wasn’t fairly slim, I would not have got in it! No information given by staff and although they were pleasant, they offered no help. The decor and basic room facilities, such as sink, cupboards were clean but otherwise awful. The walls and ceiling and the general way the room was made was appalling- stuck together with glue, almost. Two good things: great view and clean. How could a hotel be rated 4 star for cleanliness and a view? It had literally no facilities!

The hotel was very clean. However for a four star hotel service and amenities were poor. We arrived at 12:30 and were advised we couldn’t check in until 3:00. When I asked if we could possibly be checked in earlier I was advised maybe 2:30 but check in is at 3:00. We were checked in at 2:45. No one shared any information about the rooftop or breakfast. Our room was very nice sized but the bath amenities were almost non existent. One small bottle of hair/body wash. No conditioner no lotion. Went to breakfast next day and was disappointed. Very limited selection and eggs were cold and somewhat raw. I had read about the rooftop and asked how to access and was told it was closed! While location is very convenient we would not stay there again. Not a four star in service or amenities.

Very disappointing experience with the hotel manager who preferred to argue for 35 minutes with us instead making a gesture to please us, the customers. I joined my friends for one night in the hotel. They had already booked two double rooms. I was asked to pay an additional amount of 30 euros at the reception which I did only to discover that my friend had already paid ahead the additional amount. In fact they asked her to cancel and redo the reservation through Booking and pay an additional amount, instead of just adding a name to the room as they were asked through email. After endless arguments, the manager only refunded 15 euros. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, es hat viele Restaurants & Cafe‘s in der Nähe. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bestens zu erreichen. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und die Zimmermädchen, leisten super Arbeit. Die Terasse ist wunderbar und hat eine tolle Aussicht, die 24/7 zu bewundern ist, aber es gibt trotzdem einige Dinge die ausbaufähig sind. Es ist alles ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, was ich anhand von meinem Einzelzimmer beurteilen kann. Ich weiss nicht wie es auf der obersten Etage wäre, kann nur die zweite beurteilen wo ich übernachtet habe. Man hört im Zimmer wirklich alles und dass von morgends in der Früh, bis in die Nacht wenn man eigendlich ruhig schlafen will. Ich hörte die Türen ständig knallen und man hört wenn die Zimmernachbarn am duschen sind, da die Wände so dünn sind und die Türen nicht wirklich dicht. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt würde ich es trotzdem empfehlen.

E uno degli alberghi che preferisco.Avendo cambiato città attualmente sono ad Ischia Forio) ma dopo 30 anni ho scelto il mare, Riccione e Rimini per 9 mesi, Vivere a Bologna a seconda della vicissitudine, avendo fiere di ogni tipo... è strategico il San Donato per vivere a piedi la Storia della Città. Altri eccellenti per altre necessità.Esempio Hotel i Portici vicinissimo alla Stazione...Corona D' Oro per vivere il Medioevo...La terrazza è il punto di forza che lo distingue... letto comodo, pulizia eccellente, cortesia e arredi di pregio
