馬隆小屋公寓酒店(The Malone)

The room I stayed in was a business-style suite facing the main road. It was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. There is free, covered parking at the back which was useful. The windows opened which was good as it was dry and hot in the room. I could not get the TV to work other than BBC World although eventually I managed to tweak the box and get it to work. The room furnishing was incredibly dark (wallpaper, curtains and light covers were all in dark material). I had to ask the reception to replace a broken bulb in one of the ceiling lights and the bedsit lights were so dark it was impossible to read by them. The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss and there were cigarette butts permanently stuck out of the external butt holder right by the front door. The housekeeper did pop by and apologise. The staff at reception were helpful and pleasant and when prompted sorted out the necessary issues.

When we booked it stated Residencies we presumed it was beside or in main part of hotel but didn’t realise it was across the road from hotel it was a house type building with rooms felt a bit cut off as no staff present in this building if needed anything but we could contact hotel across the road if required , it was perfect just for one night but again would book hotel part. The hotel looked lovely and staff very friendly, it was in a very nice location in Belfast.

Had a nice stay here with very friendly staff . The foyer and entrance rooms are lovely. The breakfast was very enjoyable too . Unfortunately we were allocated a very noisy room by the generator which we asked to change, then given a suite which was an improvement but I would say that the rooms are a little bit tired and could do with a revamp .

It’s between two major bus corridors so transit is super easy to city center. Super comfortable and has a nice pub and restaurant. Neighborhood is really cute and very quiet, but there are some convenience stores in easy walking distance. My only complaint is the soundproofing; it felt like a herd of elephants was wandering around the floor above me.

Would have given 5 stars but the amount of carpet and lack of temperature control in the room(none). Made it very hot and stuffy. Staff were all exceptional both at reception, the bar and breakfast service.

Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Different answer from everyone on every issue. Went with friends who have stayed often. They said gone downhill. We were not impressed.
