Clean and big room, very good breakfast, close to the city hall (4mins walking) and basel sbb (8mins), and a lot of smiles of the staff.

Eher modernes und entsprechend (man könnte auch sagen etwas kühl) gestaltetes Hotel. Grundsätzlich alles in Ordnung. Wir buchten ein grosses Zimmer gegen Innenhof, welches jedoch ein Bisschen wenig gemütlich daher kam. Eigentlich war es sehr ruhig, leider bewegten sich aber mitten in der Nacht die Rollläden rauf- und runter, ev. wegen des Windes. Schade waren ein paar Details die man heute in einem solchen Hotel erwarten könnte: kein Tee/Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer, keine Hafermilch oder Margarine beim Frühstück. Alles in allem solid und gut - ich würde es aber eher für Business weiterempfehlen als für Freizeit, weil der Gemütlichkeitsfaktor irgendwie fehlt.

We stayed in a very spacious, ultra modern “loft” room containing lounge, kitchen, bed and bathroom areas. It looked very impressive and was comfortable but there were various examples of the visually impressive design not being very functional. For example, the plugs in the wash basins didn’t keep the water in the basin, the air conditioning was very slow to be effective and the controls were very difficult to understand. Staff were friendly welcoming and helpful with booking taxi for us.

Accueil agréable et check-in rapide. Chambre du 4ème étage lumineuse avec vue sur la rue mais au calme grâce au double vitrage. Très bien situé dans la ville. Possibilité de se rendre à pied de la gare ou avec le bus 30. Très pratique, vous recevez une carte pour utiliser les transports de Bâle gratuitement.

Very nice hotel , close to the old town . Lovely staff . Be aware that rooms have European multi plug sockets and only 1 socket was useable with our adapter. The bathroom is fantastic but be aware that there isn’t a wall only a curtained glass panel so you can see into the bathroom depending on the light situation

Lovely welcome from staff. We were given a discount card for museums and galleries and free public transport. We had a room upgrade to a junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom with bath and shower. Buses and trams were close by, as was the old town and the river. We had a delicious meal with traditional ‘rosti’ on first day, and explored the area around Spalentor for dining opportunities on Saturday.
