班吉萊傑廣場酒店(Ledger Plaza Bangui)

Don't - Just don't. This was awful - and is very expensive. First room I was offered had no functioning AC. The second room (now on the top floor so even hotter, had just about workable AC). No desk lamp, poor lighting in room. The whole corridor smelt damp and in need of fresh air. Visible mould on the corridir wallsOn two nights, there was no AC in public rooms downstairs. Someones false eye lashes were left on the floor by the bed. Yes, you did read that. No towels in the room. Called house keeping and was told to get them myself. We had a conversation and they were deliverd. Towels were removed the following day and not replaced. I had to call and get new ones. Breakfast was good. Evening meals were OK. My flight was delayed (Coup in Niger) and I had to stay an extra night. I left and moved to a new hotel.

Das Hotel war vermutlich früher einmal schön. Nun ist es leider kaum in Stand gehalten. Vieles Funktioniert nicht mehr. Mehrere Stunden gab es kein Wasser, auch Warmwasser bekommt man nur manchmal. Für diese Verhältnisse sind die Preise völlig unverständlich.

It was ok, but definitely overpriced. Everything inside functioned but was dated... for the price, you'd expect newer and better furnishings. The breakfast buffet was just alright... get an omelette or crepes. The other stuff always looked a bit old. I've seen much worse and much better, so it's just in the middle. Solid, reliable, and safe.

Dans une ville sinistré comme Bangui il est toujours difficile de trouver un hôtel aux standards convenables. Le Ledge s'y approche. Bien sûr les 5 étoiles sont usurpées mais disons que l'on est au niveau d'un 3 étoiles. Les chambres sont confortables, la climatisation fonctionnelle et pas trop bruyante et la literie de bonne facture. Internet permets de consulter ses mails et avec de la patience faire une navigation basique. La restauration évite de tomber malade même si les cuisiniers ne sont pas sortis à l'évidence d'une grande école de cuisine Bref 4 étoiles en tenant compte du contexte local. Réservation par internet et téléphonique aléatoire le mieux est de se rendre sur place.

Extremely overpriced hotel for the low quality of service and room facilities. They moved me to three different rooms in the first night because there either wasn’t a functional safety deposit box or air conditioning unit (which leaked profusely, requiring a bucket). The final room I was placed in did not have a functioning phone, which they promised to fix but never did. Dirty sheets, frequent power cuts, inconsistent internet and intermittent water in the hotel room. It remains the only hotel in Africa I’ve stayed in where there is almost a complete absence of English speaking skills by the front desk staff. The outdoor pool area is lovely.
