I tried to check in here but could not because they charge a $100 deposit. Unfortunately, that’s not disclosed anywhere on the ******* site, nor by any signage in the hotel itself. Money was a little tight at the time so I didn’t have the $100.
When I asked if there was anything they could do, Veronica said no and that the deposit was listed on the confirmation that she had me sign and then proceeded to print it out to prove her point. The sheet she handed me said that there is a deposit for guests paying with cash, but again no mention of a deposit for guests paying by card or through *******.
I was tired and all but begged her to call the manager and ask if an exception could be made so that I could just go to sleep, which she reluctantly did saying “there’s a guy here complaining about the deposit”, well no surprise there, the manager did nothing.
Anyway the property is beat up, the neighborhood is terrible but I needed somewhere to stay and I didn’t have much money. ******* eventually issued a refund (for a non-refundable reservation) which was somewhat unexpected, so that was nice. I guess I’ll just have to wait 7-10 business days before I can try to get another room with a bed a shower. Smh. Don’t bother with this property.
