舒適酒店-阿克塔-洪保德區(Comfort Inn Arcata)

******* booked me a room at a hotel that was closed during my stay!!! I had to scramble to find a different place to stay 3 hours before I was supposed to check in!

Best hotel everyone was so friendly easy check in check out breakfast was delicious clean spacious rooms

We liked that it was quiet & peaceful. An improvement would be flavored liquid creamers for coffee. But we would definitely stay there again!

Nice place to stay and clean. They had a full breakfast bar that included biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and patatas. Staff was friendly.

The room we got (double queen bed) was large, clean and comfortable. We liked the daily hot breakfast of eggs, potatoes and sausage. They even had biscuits and gravy on Saturday, along with their regular waffles, toasts, bagels and fruits. We also liked that there is an indoor pool and a spa we can relax in at the end of the day. Two things we didn’t like was the number of homeless people you see in the vicinity, and the inside of the property smells like grease in the morning for when they make breakfast. They need a better kitchen exhaust system.

It was perfect for my son and i! We weee a tad disappointed that the pool wasn’t heated! But other than that it was a great stay to put your head on a pillow and sleep!

Hotel was in good condition, clean, and easily accessible from the freeway. The location was a little suspect with a lot of homeless people on the streets and surrounding parking lots. The hotel had a gate with key card access, but it was open whenever we went through so I’m not sure if they actually closed it. The bedding was horrible. I know hotel beds are never as good as home, but these beds were very stiff, creaky, and had plastic bed liners that made crumpling noise anytime anyone moved. The indoor pool was great and breakfast was surprisingly decent for a free included breakfast. The employees were ok. The cleaning staff never made eye contact or responded to anyone saying hello. The front desk staff were friendly but had minimal dialogue and the person at checkout refused to give me a receipt because he said I booked through ********** so they’ll provide a receipt for me. I’ve never had a hotel refuse to give a receipt at checkout. Overall, I would recommend for a night or 2 but temper your expectations.

Not worth the price of the room unless you use the indoor pool which has beautiful plants and has a tropical vibe. We had a room with a king bed which was fine, there just wasn’t furniture to fill the big extra gap of space next to the bed. There was a tiny chair to sit in that fit my children, though had stains all over it so we didn’t use it. There was a desk with a chair that proved ok. Breakfast was great. My only complaint is the lack of seating in the room, especially for the price we paid.

The area is protypical Arcata area, a hodgepodge of businesses, hotels, mall stores and houses. If you want its a short drive to the beach, ocean and the river. The University is two exits south.
