薩摩亞奧特日吉兒酒店(The Samoan Outrigger Hotel)

市内中心地からは少し遠いところのお宿でした。 サモアらしいヴィラを選択しましたが、蚊がいた事を除いて良かったです。朝ごはんでは南国ならではのフルーツもありました。 また、受付のインテリアがサモアらしいカラフルさとセンスのある綺麗な色合いで、とても可愛らしかったです。

My go to home in Samoa! If you’re looking for a nice hote with amazing staff, pool and breakfast, this is the place to be!!

Wouldn’t recommend for families especially if looking to book the traditional Fale. Location of property isn’t far from town so easy to find. I was booked to stay 2 nights but unfortunately only stayed one night given how noisy and uncomfortable the bedding was. Don’t take huge suitcases as the only access to the fales are steep stairs. Budget hotel so you pay for what you get. Very noisy due to local dogs who barked nonstop for hours. Shared bathroom facilities which were quite dated. Simply a bed to rest on and nothing else.

La salle de la réception et le jardin sont magnifiques. Cet hôtel offre des chambres relativement petites mais confortables, dotées d'une terrasse donnant sur le jardin. Le petit déjeuner, servi au bord de la piscine, comprend un toast, un oeuf et des fruits frais, ainsi qu'une bonne quantité de café. La wifi, gratuite, est assez instable mais ce doit être dû au fournisseur d'accès. Contrairement aux autres hébergements où nous sommes descendus à Samoa, le gérant doit être ètranger car il semble particulièrement aimer les listes d'interdits et règles de toute sorte. Autre exception : c'est la seule fois où un dépôt de garantie nous a été demandé à l'arrivée et où la réceptionniste a bien été vérifier que nous ne laissions pas une ardoise au bar. Autre mesquinerie : le prix du savon est indiqué dans la salle de douche.

We had a mixed experience and would prefer other hotels if we return to Apia. If you need a quiet place you might want to consider booking another hotel, the street corner Outrigger is located, is very (very!) busy, even during the night. Breakfast is served (no buffet). When you ask for some more toast with butter and jam, then you get a tiny bit of butter and a teaspoon of jam - it really felt odd, appeared like they ran out of butter and jam. The pool and garden are nice indeed. We did not feel that the staff was going above and beyond: Any question or ask "out of the ordinary hotel related", they just shrugged their shoulders. The 24/7 reception desk sounds good, but when we arrived at the hotel at about 10.30 pm, the receptionist was sleeping on the sofa. For what they offer I believe they are overpriced. You will find better deals. Keep in mind: Private restaurants have closed on Sundays!

Outstanding place to stay Great team owner is very polite. Our night staff lady on front desk fotu she is outstanding every night she would be so happy to see you always so very polite with her weight in gold. She would always make sure everyone was ok and happy so pleasant to talk toad were all the crew. The hotel was so clean and fresh friendly the breakfast were always beautiful and fresh and a real pleasure in the morning. In the morning there was a young girl called Rachel she was always so busy and polite brought my wife and I coffee with a big smile. Honestly I can not say enough about this little hotel usually I would say you get what you pay for but not in this case you get so much more then what you pay for. I would gladly suggest this hotel to all of my friends and family and I will be returning in my opinion I can not say a bad thing about this place

What a terrific place, away from the hussle and bustle of the town centre. Full if charm and character, with such delightful staff and a really good breakfast, plus an onsite hire car. Lovely garden and pool and easy to relax in the common area. Great place to chat with other travellers and compare stories. Ideal for families, with a kitchen and supermarket over the road.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. It is a budget hotel so I didn’t have high expectations. Clearly the room hadn’t been used for a while so in a high humidity climate, things are going to be damp. The bed was damp and there was an overwhelming musty smell. I discovered it was the cushions and pillows that were causing it so took them out of the room and it smelt better. After the air conditioning had been on for a while the bed had dried out a bit for the second night. There was a kettle in the room and it had been treated with some kind of disinfectant. Even after boiling some spring water in it several times and throwing it out, my tea still tasted of it. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice.
