艾米利亞島麗思卡爾頓酒店(The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island)

Very disappointed. Lobby is under construction, and the valets can’t seem to manage. Eventually get to front desk and “check in system is down.” Ask if it will 5 minute, 10 minutes or an hour before I can get a room. Keep in mind it is after 4P on a Monday, and I’d already checked in online. Front desk snaps, “we will call you when your room is ready.” No offers for a drink at the bar, or any other suggestions and the valet has already taken my car (you cannot self park). Of course I’m sure I got the worst room in my “King with a balcony” room class, 40 minutes later when i got to my room. Coffee stains on couch and bath robes. Room is worn and not well cleaned. No restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and high end on property restaurant , Salt, is closed on Mondays. Eat and next best restaurant, Coast, which was over priced. Next night Salt is again closed, now for a private event, and they are playing bingo in the only other restaurant on property. Most of the staff, outside of front desk, were nice and seemed to be trying, but not much they could do. Will not stay at the property ever again.

We have been to many Ritz Carleton's on business and this was by far the worst of the Ritz's we have stayed at. The facility looks like it used to be a Marriott and was converted into a "Ritz". When we arrived the bell hops were dressed not like you expect and weren't very helpful. We went to check in and it was right next to the bar where they had a DJ blaring music. It was anything but elegant and relaxing like the typical Ritz entryways. We felt like we were in a Holiday Inn. The service was average at best in all areas except the cleaning team were very polite. I would absolutely not recommend this especially for the money. If it was a $250-$300 per night room that would be ok but at $600 and up it is not even close to worth the money. Very disappointed that Ritz allows such a property in their portfolio. It should be a Marriott and not a JW just a Marriott.

The property is nice and the rooms are clean. However, the customer service at this Ritz is deplorable. Beware- you can ONLY valet your car. We took our car off property our last evening here. We went downstairs around 7:30PM and waiting roughly 30 minutes for someone to pull around our car from valet. These cars were flying through the property, too, at crazy speeds because valet was super busy this weekend. When we finally got in our car to drive to dinner, they were apologetic and offered us a completely free valet stay for our very long wait. They claimed they couldn't find our ticket but they seemed very flustered and this gesture seemed a bit over the top but we brushed it off. it didn't make sense until later. We brought the car back around 9:30pm. The next day when we called our car from valet to check out, we saw the trunk was completed SMASHED! Something we didn't notice the night before in the dark. We immediately notified management and they told us they'd open a claim to resolve this right away and we should hear in about a week. They have to examine about 10 minutes, if not LESS, on their security camera in the garage to see if our car was damaged before giving it to us at 7:30 or not that evening and what it looked like when we returned. This occurrence happened MID OCTOBER 2023 and we are in MID JANUARY 2024 and we still have NO resolution. It doesn't take that long to review security footage in their own garage, they haven't released any footage to us and haven't given us a single answer. We have been driving around with a smashed up car for months since leaving their hotel...just inexcusable. By the way, our car is one year old and in pristine condition. We've called and emailed multiple times with no resolution or answers. We're chasing down the claims dept and still no word. I never want to stay at another Ritz again if this is the service we can expect. Especially for the price, this is insane. I'd expect this from a lower tier hotel chain but not the Ritz Carlton. Unbelievable. I'd love if someone actually contacted me with answers! We are STILL waiting.

From the moment we pulled up to this Resort we were greeted with big smiles and a very accommodating staff. The valet and bellmen were so attentive. At the reservation desk the entire staff greeted each guest, offered them drinks and pleasantries. I was fortunate enough to have Leticia check me in. She was so kind and hospitable. Everyone at the pool also greeted us with exceptional happiness and welcoming smiles. Ashley was our pool server. She was the fastest pool server we have ever had. She was delightful and knowledgeable about the hotel, as well as the island. The sushi in the lobby bar was phenomenal and Brooke was also very accommodating and cheerful. I wish I knew the name of every person we came in contact with because I can honestly say that every single employee we came across was so friendly and happy. Exceptional Staff!!! The resort is beautiful as well, can’t wait to come back!!!

The Ritz Carlton brand is continuing to dilute. The once infamous service has regressed to the level of a mid tier hotel. In general, I was pushed off to others instead of my contact person handling the request or facilitating the right person for me. I requested early check-in and they did accomodate. However, noone called me as promised to say my room was ready. Instead of the bellman handling a request, I was told to call the department myself. This siloed approach to service is not how the Ritz used to operate. I will look for other luxury options ahead of the Ritz going forward.

In a word, our stay was FANTABULOUS!! From the time we checked in until check out. The ocean view room was phenomenal. The staff from top to bottom was amazing in all areas (concierge, housekeeping , parking, retail, restaurants, fitness, EVERYONE!!). I usually list people who stand out but there are too many to name. We were celebrating birthdays and the entire hotel joined in making it super special! Thank you seems inadequate to express my appreciation. Amelia Island in general and this Ritz in specific are my forever Happy Birthday place!! I’ve stayed at other Ritz properties around the country. This by far is my favorite!! If you can, GO!!

Booked a standard King weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. Rolled the dice and used 2 suite night awards. Upgrade confirmed and was shocked to realize it was the Presidential Suite; best upgrade ever! This hotel is amazing. Staff is friendly and kind

From greeting to check in and everything in between was amazing! Pool, beach, and dining room service were exceptional! The staff were pleasant and one step ahead. Your valet guys were personable, efficient and humorous. My husband thought he left his glasses in our vehicle and after your guys looked for them in the car they spotted them in his collar. !

This is absolutely the best place for a vacation. The property is extremely clean. The staff could not be any better. The activities they offer are amazing. The food is incredible. I don't have one negative thing to say about this resort. The staff from the second you step foot on property is top notch. I could name a few individuals at this hotel whom are amazing and make families like mine feel so fortunate to know them. Nora has become family over the years of visiting this resort. Nick outside is so great with the kids and has such knowledge and passion for nature. He runs daily shark tooth hunts that my kids would not miss for anything. If you get a chance to visit this is a gem.
